As usual, we shall start by our opening prayer, allegiance to the Flag, attending to Club essentials.

As soon as that is over we shall introduce an “ANGEL” FAMILY” BOB & KIYAN MICHAEL. They are the parents of a son who was murdered by an Illegal immigrant, a sad commentary that coincides with the presentation of our Keynote speaker.

Our Keynote Speaker this evening is an IMMIGRATION LAWYER who’s been well involved within all legal matters regarding immigration. Her name is Artie Renee Pobjecky. The following is her Bio:

ARTIE “RENEE” POBJECKY is the senior partner at Pobjecky & Pobjecky, LLP, a global immigration and compliance firm.  She is the Immediate Past-Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Central Florida Chapter.  Previously she served two terms as Executive Vice Chair and two terms as Secretary for the AILA Central Florida Chapter.

Renee is a nationally recognized speaker and published author on immigration issues.  She is a frequent lecturer at state and national immigration conferences and has appeared on local news and cable programs.  Renee enjoys speaking at local events and educating the community about the nuances of immigration law.  Her speaking engagements include the 2013-2016 AILA National Conferences and the 2012-2017 Central Florida AILA Conferences.

Renee was recognized by Best Lawyers for 2016-2018 and as a Rising Star in the practice of Immigration Law by Super Lawyer in 2014.  On October 27, 2017, she received the coveted award from the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Central Florida Chapter for Outstanding Contributions to the Chapter.

Renee is active in her community.  She proudly sits on the Board of Directors for Girl’s Inc. of Winter Haven and is the acting Secretary of the Organization.  She is also a Board Member of the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee.  Renee is a council member for GiveWell Community Foundation.

Renee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida with minors in English and Business.  In 2001, she graduated from Baylor University School of Law with her Juris Doctorate.

 

When not practicing law, Renee enjoys traveling with her husband, charity runs, and reading biographies of those persevering from their obstacles.
